Alysha Shorter

SALON OWNER AND STYLIST

Hi beauties! My name is Alysha, and I started my career as a hair stylist right out of high school at the age of 18. With 16 years of experience under my belt, there’s nothing I love more than making the people in my chair feel beautiful, confident, and uplifted. My goal for every client is to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience and to have them leave feeling like they can conquer anything. Look good, feel good right?

I offer a wide variety of hair cutting and color services, but if I had to pick a few favorites, it would be highlights, teasy lights and relaxing shampoos. I opened The Hair Loft in February of 2021 with the goal of creating a cozy and relaxing place for my clients to get pampered. Working alongside my two best friends is like working with my family. Hopefully by the time you leave, you’ll feel like part of our family too!

When I’m not at the salon, I’m probably listening to a true crime podcast or enjoying a glass of wine at home with my loving husband and two boys. You can probably find me at brunch, a winery, or out on the lake with my friends. I also love traveling to all kinds of places with my gals, especially the beach. What can I say? I’m a certified beach bum.

Now that you know a little bit about me, I am dying to get to know you! If you’re looking for a fun, friendly, and attentive stylist, I would love to have you in my chair!

Crystal O'Dell

STYLIST

Hey y’all! I’m Crystal O’Dell and I get to work at The Hair Loft with the most amazing women you could ever work with. It’s like a fun girls day everyday and I’m so blessed.

I’m the mom of 3 boys whom are my entire world and if I’m not at work, I’m most likely at a ball field or basketball court somewhere and maybe not even in this state but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I’ve been working behind the chair for 20 years and can’t imagine doing anything else.

A little bit about me: Dolly Parton is my hero and I’m completely obsessed with Disney and believe whole heartedly I should’ve been a Disney princess, but I guess I didn’t wish hard enough on that evening star!

I also love to sing. Much to my boys dismay, they tell me I wouldn’t get a single chair turn on The Voice, but I still give them a free country concert every morning on the way to school while they hold their ears lol. Guess I better stick with my day job, but if there is ever a karaoke machine nearby, you best bet I’m belting one out!

As for my work behind the chair: I love doing color. I love seeing a dramatic change and I’m not afraid of fashion colors. It plays into my artistic side. If you want rainbow hair, you can have rainbow hair. I love a challenge.

I also like to think of myself as a part time therapist and have been told I’m an excellent secret keeper. So if you need to get stuff off your chest and out of your mind, you’re safe in my chair. You spill it; I’ll foil it and you’ll leave feeling better and looking fabulous.

Jessica Adams

STYLIST

Hey y’all! My name is Jessica Adams. In 2003, I started working as a salon receptionist while in high school and found my love for this industry.

I graduated in 2006 and started behind the chair immediately after high school. My love for this career continues to grow with each and every client. I have been so blessed to meet so many beautiful people throughout the years.

When you see me behind the chair, I’m probably laughing and chatting it up with my clients. I absolutely love getting to know each client and sharing stories together. I offer multiple services including coloring, foils and haircuts. My main goal is to make each client feel comfortable and beautiful while in my chair.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually spending my time with my amazing family. I married the love of my life in 2012 after dating for 7 years, and we have a beautiful little girl. You can find us out on the lake fishing, camping, going to the beach, or taking trips to Target with our girl. To me, family is absolutely everything. I am beyond blessed with such a close family.
